Welcome to the Foyle Presbytery website

The Foyle Presbytery is one of 21 Presbyteries that make up the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
The photograph above is of Stephen McCracken (and children) - installed last year in Drumachose and Derramore congregations in Limavady.

As the name 'Foyle' suggests, the Presbytery has the Foyle estuary to its west and runs from Limavady to Donemana. It touches on Londonderry (eg Glendermott congregation) although the city belongs to the Derry and Strabane Presbytery.
Foyle was an amalgamation of the Glendermott and Limavady Presbyteries.
To our east we have the Coleraine Presbytery.
The Presbytery Youth Committee had a very successful programme last year.
We are looking forward in particular to Lost 3, Friday 14th - Sunday 16th March from 7.30 pm each night in 2nd Limavady.

If anyone has photographs of the various youth movement events email them to the Clerk.
The Presbytery has a chairperson, known as the 'Moderator', but not to be confused with THE Moderator, of the General Assembly!
Foyle Presbytery has Rev Alan Wilson from March 2008
The Clerk of the Presbytery (for as long as the Presbytery want him!) is Rev Dr Stewart Jones, who is also minister of Donemana. Stewart would be the normal contact person for Presbytery matters in general. His email address is sjones@presbyterianireland.org or you can contact him at 249 Duncastle Road, Donemana, Strabane BT82 0LR
The Presbytery has many interests - virtually anything that effects the local area, although its primary interest is the spiritual well being of its congregations.
